hey all, heres the story, i took a tescos HPT yesterday (day of missed period) and i got a line, took a good few mins to show up but did before the time limit and i got a good pink line that was with SMU, took one this morning and FMU and it is fainter, i can still see it but fainter than yesterdays! should i b worried? i was thinking that maybe the amount of dye was different in each, as the position of the line is slightly different!

starting to think something bad is going to happen, anybody had this happen?

I would take it as both results are positive not negative and not worry about darkness/position of the line.

A line is a line! (At least that's what I started screaming when I got mine.) The rate of false positives on HPT's is astonishingly low, if one exists at all. Do you know how many DPO you are? It could be that you just have a very trace amount of HCG for it to measure. If you want to be sure, take another HPT in a few days. At the beginning of pregnancy, the doubling time for hormones is usually only about 48 hours. So you'd get a much darker line fairly quickly.

Yes it used to happen to me all the time. It took me along time to have my family because of fertility problems, I think my local supermarket thought I was running my own testing centre I bought so many tests! I wouldnt worry at this stage. It's still a positive. Yes it could be the pregnancy test, or also the amount you have drank. A pregnancy test will only show the levels in your urine, not the levels in your blood. Congratulations!!!

Congrats!!! a line is a line!! the only way for the line to show up in the first place is to have the pregnancy hormones in your system.
I would definately say you are pregnant. You will know for sure if you don't get a period but if in a week you want to re-test then go ahead! I bet you will get an instant bright line straight away if you wait another week to totally confirm it!!

Otherwise, congrats mummy to be!!!

A line is a line! Remember there are no false positives, only false negatives! I would see if you have a Planned Parenthood around and see if they can direct you to somewhere to get a blood test! Good luck!

try a clearblue digital, it either says pregnant or not pregnant,
i would imagine if the lines there it dont matter how dark it is and wouldnt have anything to do with whether anything bad is going to happen, good luck.

Anything could cause that....you could have drank more before the test, the test could be less sensitive, anything. Don't worry!
