All of them seem to have the same range. Other restaurants do have smells, but every Burger King has the same range and scent. Also, I wonder if they put a chemical, that may not add to the taste, in to the burger, so when they are cooked have that "Burger King" smell.

Since BK burgers are flame broiled they have to have an outside ventilation which also entices the consumer into the restaurant... I'd also bet that a bit of liquid smoke is used in the meat of the burger to help produce that type of smell.... good question....

Its the way the burgers are cooked but that smell definitely has an effect. Fast food restaurants have a little extra ingredient to bring you back for more. Its not just the service. Its subliminal. Its like fast food cologne. Anyone can identify that they had a whopper in their car due to the scent leftover from a previous day.

Its the sublime.

I think it's because of the way they cook the patties. They flame-grill them instead of cooking them in oil.

it is the smell emitting from the broiler themselves cooking the patties.
