Many similarities:
a.a great force invaded the country after it was called for help (in 1204 Isaakios Komninos called the Crousaders that they were nearby).
b. they both caused a cultural desaster (in Kosovo some famous byzantine churches were "perished" in Kon'poli almost everything portable was transfered to the West cities).
c. they both "contributed" to a govermnent change.
d.they both splited the occupied places.
e. noone of them called to help the leagal government of the occupied places. (Isaakios and Albanians)
f. both criated new states (the crousaders many states, the reign of Kon'pel, the principate of Achaia etc)

Differences:
a. The crousaders started the 4th Crousade with another intention, not for conquering Konstantinopoli (they didn't have a specific destination, Corfu, Syria...).
b. The crousaders broke the deal with Isaakios, the US didn't break any kind of agreement with Albanians (of did they? I am not sure).
c. After the occupy of Kon'pel demographical changes did not occure, in the contrary after bombing of Kosovo great demographical changes occured.
d. The locals in Kon'pel saw the Crousaders as invaders, because they were, and hated them very much.
I can't think of something else.
