IR Tables to distinguish between 1-butyne, 2-butyne, and 2-butene Use IR tables to locate absorption bands of the stretching frequencies of the alkyne C - H bond, the alkyne C - (triple bond)- C , and the alkene C - H bond. Using this data, explain how you would distinguish between 1-butyne, 2-butyne, and 2-butene.

boiling point
1-butyne is 8 C
2- butyne is 27 C
If you have a container with a gas valve then you have the 1-isomer. If you have a bottle with a liquid then it is the 2 isomer.
