In the preview, one contestant claims there is going to be one "serious fatality". Is this a hoax? Some crude way to attract attention for the show? How far will people go? That's crazy stuff.

I saw the previews of this show and can't believe they're actually going to air this garbage! You hear about teenage boys (in particular) imitating pro wrestling shows and other equally garbage-filled shows, and getting seriously injured or killed in doing so. Maybe it'll take something like that happening and THEN they'll pull the show. It amazes me sometimes what they put on tv these days. Thank goodness there's that OFF button on the remote!

I can assure you no one died during the show, although there are a few broken bones. I caught the final 4 whilst in the UK this summer. - It's a BBC / Discovery show and really enjoyable to watch-- It was filmed over 6 months or so, they live with the locals (There are a few animals that are slaughters for food- maybe this is the "Fatality?)) and are trained in the sport for a week. before some large local competition, in which they compete against each other and the locals. I shall be recommending it to all my friends.

I watched the first 8 episodes from the BBC and the show is extremely well done, always mindful to be respecting of the local culture and showed an honest desire (mostly) for the athletes to learn from their hosts. The competitions are exciting and some of them really grab you. I hope Hammond stays on as the talent and wish Discovery wouldn't be so PC to have to change the name to Last One standing. I also hope they don't Americanize it too much as the series really is good. The other four episodes will be intriguing and I'll tune in for sure.

Oh it's going to be crazy. I expect to be worse than stunts they did on Fear Factor
