Hi People,

I am from West yorkshire, Uk

I am studying to become an electrician, and I have a building regulations exam on monday. I am doing some mock exam papers and there are questions about regulations e.g regulation 7 (materials and workmanship) or regulation 3 (building work). what I want to know is how many of these regulations are there and where can I see what they are??

I have the green electricians guide to the building regs book but it does not have this info in there or I can't find it.

Also what does it mean when it says schedule 1 or 2, my undertanding of this is;
part A-P is schedule 1 if this is true what is schedule 2 or is there any more schedules and where can I get this information.

I would be very grateful if anyone can tell me as I am really strugling.

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't want to give you an answer on here that would cause you to fail your exam.
If you have a copy of any of the building regulations I'm sure there is a table of all regulations on the inside cover.
Ensure that wherever you get your information from is a trustworthy source.
the building regulations explained (a book) is a great source of information.
Good luck with your exam

I am an electrician in the USA so I can't help you. But I can lend moral support. Good luck to you.

i think as many regulations as are needed for security of their mates and outsiders too plus those new ones at making it difficult to penetrate by sofisticated devices never thought of!
