Ok. This is the fourth or fifth time I have been invited to a "diaper party". So a woman has a baby shower; then a couple of weeks later I get an invite for (in my opinion a second baby shower) this diaper party, where you are supposed to bring a package of unwrapped diapers for the new baby.

I find this to be really tacky. Is this a new thing, is it regional? I'm from Michigan, and I'd like to know if you find this tacky and where you are from.

zaddi j: Where are you from? I'm curious to know what parts of the country are familiar with this and what parts aren't. Thanks!

I'm from Arizona, and i've never heard of a "second baby shower". I understand that having a child can get expensive but come on. Your not the one who got pregnant. I think that if diapers are what are wanted then that should be stated on the first baby shower invitation. All a diaper party is for, is to say that no one spent enough money on the first party and they want more.

Normal in Texas. Perhaps get to know less pregnant ladies? hehe. Also, if they don't offer good refreshments then you are sort of getting ripped off on the cover charge. Also, buy one package of diapers and split it in half. Make sculptures with rubber bands so it looks cute and looks like more diapers than it is.
