How can I Make a Wireless Network upto 3 Km of Range? But the problem is that there should not be any device between Transmitter and Reciever!

That means there should be only two devices.

Easy, look at the Wireless WAN solutions in the blackbox catalogue (www.blackbox.co.uk) they do radio / infrared and laser wireless solutions that have good range, FOR A PRICE !

Other than that, VPN over internet connections is best bet.

Thats what im in the proccess of trying to do. I am waiting for some stuff i bought to come in the mail. I am only doing it to see how far i can reach out and see everbody's wireless networks. A little ethical hacking never hurt anybody.

I got a wireless card for my laptop that has an external antenna connection, then from there i bought a 1 Watt wireless amplifier that plugs into a 12 db gain omnidirectional antenna. I don't know how much distance i'll get but i'll let you know.

Direct the antenna at each other precisely using landmarks or what not.. and off you go.. It might be a weekends work but the experiance is definitely worth it. I've done it a year or so ago connecting my internet connection to another network that was shared by a few of my friends.

If you want to do it cheap, you can make your own antennas. But i'd suggest you spend some money cuz antenna making is an art on its own. I have yet to master it myself.
