Male...I call him my "play brother;" we've been known each other for almost ten years now and he knows me better than anyone...no matter all my faults and imperfections, he's been there for me through thick and thin: when I was homeless, he gave me a place to lay my head, when my mother died, he was right there by my side (wasn't trying to rhyme there), when I got arrested, he bailed me out of jail....I can tell him anything and he won't judge me or berate me, and he gives great advice! What more can you ask for in a friend?

The person I consider my best friend is a guy, but I'm sure I'm not *his* best friend. He's also more than twice my age. I guess he's a slightly paternal figure too, like the father I wish I'd had instead of the one I got. But mostly he's just a friend whose company I really enjoy.
