they have children and a spouse that someone who is single and childless does not have any "responsabilities"?

I hear this all the time I am often told " oh you are so luckey, wait untill you get married and have children".

First off don't assume I am getting married and want children and Second- it's not luck that I am not married and childless,it was my choice.

Do they think marriage and children are end all be all? because I don't.

ts-my ego is not that large. You can create a legacy by helping many people. Oprah does not have children and probaly won't,but she certainly has create va legacy. I do realize she's a female but you get my point.

Those people who say things like that say them because they feel a little envious. You have responsibilites, too, but they are different. I don't believe that marriage and children are for everybody. There are plenty of people who are happier living in different lifestyles. I just wish more people could accept that.

I also do not believe that everyone is cut out for marriage and children. And that single persons have the same responsibilites as others. Married people feel they have "more responsibilities" because they have more to deal with (more mouths to feed, clothe, etc.) But they do have something a single person would not have. A legacy to pass down in a blood line. No offense to any one, but a legitimate legacy. Unless one fathers a child and then takes responsibility for that child (defeating the purpose of being single with no family responsibilities) and provides for the future no single male can ensure his "Name" lives on.
