Give the guy a break !! He said that and he DID make another film -- so, what do we do -- go kick his butt ?? I'll let YOU throw the first few dozen blows !!!
Hell, I've said a number of things in MY life that I capitulated on later down the road --- and dang, no one even mentioned 16 million dollars to do so !! And, not one single person posted a dang thing on the internet about it !!!
For that kind of money -- he can afford to tell at least three false things a year and STILL laugh all the way to the bank !!

Give the guy a break. He's Chinese and may have difficulty with the English language. Maybe he must've used the wrong word or meant something else. Maybe he mistranslated his words...as the word "latest" and "last" may be synonymous. Just a theory. But anyway, ain't we glad he still act in some movies?

JET LI is the best......anyways jet Li isn't quitting movies "based on Wushu philosophy", but rather period martial arts movie, which is what "wushu movies" refer to.

Maybe he said it was the last movie he was filming. That could make a big difference. He could have filmed War 5 years ago.

He probably thought it's better to make the same kind of movie since he is known for those action stunts. He can't say no to the millions offered by producers. Lucky guy.

Well, they did say Fearless would be his last "martial arts epic," but I'm not sure if that counts as saying it would be his last movie period.

YEah i heard that. WHo knows though, actors are always like that. Like there was this movie and it said only going to be out in cinemas so i saw it 5 times and then it came out on video. WTF! its soooo annoying how they do that. Don't you think?
