Why is the Word Arithmetic pronounced like that?
The word arethmetic is pronounced like (areth-matic). Is there an explanation to that?

Most people that I know don't pronounce it that way (areth-matic). They pronounce the word as spelt.

As far as I know, there is not a word such as arethmetic.
