PJ don't charge them. A report is sent to the prosecutor. Anyway have they finished interrogating Gerry?

If the police have so much damning evidence why offer a deal?
This is an incompetent police force who would like nothing better than the worlds media to turn their attention elsewhere.

The McCanns will be back in the UK within 1 week.

The portugese police will eventually announce they do not have enough evidence to charge anyone and the time wasted pursuing what they see as the easiest course of action, will lead to the real killer/abductor going scott free.

Such a shame we may now never find out what happened to that child

You strengthen a valid ingredient. IF there exists some form of exact info, that could desire to point that not basically could the PJ have considered it however the British Police besides. which might propose in all probability they have not be framed or set up nor has it been fabricated. like the others posters have stated even with the undeniable fact that, you may desire to take quite some what's stated with a grain of salt through fact the comments seem again from tabloids. And the guidelines the way they're in Portugal approximately barring info and communicate of situations interior the media quantities to extreme stages of hypothesis.

I think its possible that dispite them having evidence that impies the McCann's were involved, the evidence they have at the moment isn't enough on its own as the lawyers of the McCann's could easily come with a reason for the evidence and it wouldn't hold up in court, something though has triggered them off to interview them for long periods of time, at the end of the day, they need Maddy's body to verify how she died, i'm sure they have more evidence than they have been letting on but they are quietly working in the background on getting evidence proving they were involved, I don't think its a set up as it was British forensics that came up with the latest forensic results, what the police need to do is focus on finding her body, they know the McCann's aren't going to confess after all this time and the media hype supporting them, so they need rock solid ample evidence, I think they have been on to them for ages and when the McCann's said they were returning to Britain they decided to interview them again and see if one of them would slip up, the story of them as doctors leaving three babies alone in a room seems very strange to me and probably to them.

The parents couldn`t go anywhere anyway,,,where would they go?if they tried to run the press would follow them and the authorities would stop them,,there is a treaty within Europe for extradition for such crimes anyway,,,their faces are so well known around the world..If they were to run it would only show guilt,,they are not under arrest and have to appear before a Portuguese Judge in the next few days to have their case assessed to clarify any bail conditions,,
The police and judiciary work very differently to the UK and are probably not considered a threat to the public anyway....

On More4 News last night, it was claimed they had "tons" of evidence.
Unfortunately, due to strict Portuguese laws, we are not allowed to know what the evidence is. Even though most people now seem to believe the McCanns are implicated, the evidence in the public domain is still very limited.

Perhaps the police are waiting for the right moment to strike.

how many times have we seen a parent or parents up in front of the cameras crying for their child's killer to own up only to find later in the investigation it was them all along who commited the crime. This is nothing new.
