my moms bladder is shrinking i hurts for her to urinate. As bad as a bladder infection. But she doesnt. She has a kidney stone o her right kidney. I think it has to do with that , but ..Im no doctor. why does it hurt her sooooooo bad to go.?

Imagine giving birth. Quite painful right? Having a kidney stone is similar. You mother is most likely passing small fragments of stones through her urinary tract. It's extremely painful to do so. Unfortunatly though, unlike a birth canal that will stretch for a baby, the ureters and urethra don't stretch as a kidney stone passes out.

Drinking lots of water will help.

My guess is that your mother is having bladder spasms. While a catheter may cause or may aggravate this, pulling it out in not always an option. Does her physician know about her distress? Certain medications can relieve bladder spasms, but be careful of their side effects.
