almost every 3 hours the lights on the router completely dissapear and dont come back for about an hour and regain connection unless i press the reset button. This alows connectiveity in about 10 secs and it has been going on for a few weeks now. How can i fix this problem?

1) Check with your ISP to see if there are any line issues.
2) See if there is a firmware upgrade. You should be able to get this from the manufacturer of the router's website. I would make sure to read their documentation carefully, because if you install the wrong firmware, it could kill the router.

Probably the router might be bad or there is a problem with the line that supply you internet. What i would do is try contacting technical support of your isp (Internet Service Provider) and if is DSL or cable they will test the line and your modem and will let you know if their report shows a malfunction.
