There were many things like that happening...........When people are trying to survive they'll do anything to survive.......I was there (I worked a few blocks away) and it was horriffic........People running for their lives in all directions.....People trying to jump from anywhere in the buildings...........When your life is threatened like that you have to do whatever MIGHT save you and this man thought that was the way he might survive.............Had he not tried he most likely would have died judging from how high up he was.........He couldn't just stand there and wait to die, he had to try...................What ensued for weeks afterward in the area was horrible as well...........The smell of burning flesh that lasted for months.......The air quality that made people ill, all the lives lost, the businesses lost.........Soldiers in gas masks with rifles all over the area (and it covered a very large area) 24-7 and everyone being afraid it wasn't over day after day...........That was NY, don't forget about D.C. and Pa........CAT

That is truly disturbing on so many levels. The sheer courage it must have taken to attempt that. To try and survive with such slim chance of success is inspirational, and the inevitable fall so terrifying. At least he died trying to save himself instead of letting himself be burnt alive or crushed when the towers collapsed.

It's definitely worth remembering what our country and the people in towers suffered on 9/11 and why terrorism/terrorists are so evil. It must have been incredibly heartbreaking to watch that while it was happening and to not be able to do anything except watch him fall.

Cant believe that some people are using the viewing of this video for the purposes of a political rant.

It matters not what led to this tragedy, the person who tried to climb down was not wondering if it was the US government or the terrorists who perpetrated this.

The poor B@astard was just trying to live

Watch this clip for what it is , the tragic end to someones life, not a political platform to vent your spleen.

This horrific clip should be shown every time one of these terrorists gets caught, to remind the world who we are up against. Then sentencing should be passed on them.
These terrorists are cowards beyond measure, and all innocent victims that died in 9/11 should be remembered as heros.

Oh, that man was so desperate... I couldn't even imagine having to make a decision like that!

A co-worker who was also a volunteer firefighter went to Ground zero to volunteer to help look for victims and the things he described... was so sad ... it took such a toll on him... although he is ok now those are images that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

He is one of the 5000+ reasons this is the day our country and the world should never forget 9/11.

It is so horribly sad - I can't imagine how desperate that poor man - like everyone else in the Trade Centers must have felt. May God Bless all their Souls.

I can't watch it, I have seen it before and it's too upsetting. The sheer desperation of this poor man and no-ne could do anything to help him, it's heartbreaking.

Shocking. But at least he tried to save himself instead of allowing himself to be burnt or suffocated.
