commonly, flash drive, and floopy, i cant open and asked me to format but i can't (in floopy) while in flash can open and no questions at all. when a run in ms dos, its a raw file system, waht is the cause of this and can i solve this problem? tnx and i really appreciate, but i thought my flash was already dead

RAW = unformatted, ie bare drive.

Has a "low level" format to identify the physical structure but nothing to write to.

Read After Write, technologies such as CD-R and CD-RW which allow reading data immediately after writing, as opposed to CD-ROMs which usually go through mass replication before it can be read.

If a floppy asks for formatting and u see the message "cannot format the disk" or it dosen't format at all then u need to replace the floppy disk. If your floppy disk drive won't read other disks then replace it as well.

As for the USB flash drive....what can i say format it anyway, u don't have what to lose from this memory type.
