If you are lesbian or gay, it's rather difficult to save yourself for marriage, since we can get legally married only in a very few countries. It is also somewhat problematical to save yourself only for love, since sexual experimentation seems to be such a big part of who we are. (Perhaps this is a holdover from the sexual freedom of the 1970s, before AIDS came along.)
However, I believe what Louisa May Alcott wrote in "Little Women": "Be worthy love, and love will come." I am a creative writer, and my first (unpublished) novel is all about finding the one person, the one love worth waiting for. And I believe that goes as much as lesbians and gays as it does for straights.

YES!!! I think it's so important nowadays to wait until marriage. Sex is a big step, so it should be thought out very well or someone will probably end up getting a broken heart.(because a lot of people are just for the sex and not a relationship)

I think marriage is "a wonderful thing" or whatever, but I dont let it define my relationships or what I do.
I wouldnt save myself for marriage, even if I could get married (live in Australia... great in every other way though).
I saved myself for someone I really loved though. ( Ie no losing virginity to some random or just to see what its like.) It had to be right.

I would say it's a personal choice. If a person chooses to wait until marriage it's their right to do so and should be respected. Just as a people who choose to have sex before marriage should be respected.
It's a personal choice you should do what you feel comfortable.

If lesbians could get married in more places, I would save myself. It's definitely worth it. But seeing as how I've been only with one woman, it's pretty much the same thing.

So you marry someone and realize that your sex life sucks and then you starts being curious and start cheating. Its a normal and common thing and I dont believe in any saving yourself if you are serious about life in general, although, I dont promote promiscuity either.

I think it would be a horrible twist of fate to wait and then find out that my partner is really, really lame.
But to each their own and if you feel it is important to wait, then wait.
And don't let a bunch of Yahoo's tell you any different.

Yes, it is Mir intimate, personal, special. Sex was meant for the marriage as a man and woman decide to become one. This oneness is physically, mentally, spiritually.
