If a car has about 70k or more on mileage, what can I do to make it better? Do I have to change the engine or change different parts? Cause any part in a car is replaceable. What makes a component in a car makes the high mileage bad?

70K isn't all that much in the way of mileage. It all depends on how the car was maintained during those 70K miles. Before you buy one, have a mechanic inspect it and give you a written report. It will cost a few dollars but it will be worth it, if it stops you from buying a lemon. With 70K you can look at the brakes and see if they need to be replaced Have the AC unit checked for leaks, and most likely, you will want to power flush the transmission and replace all the fluid, this will include the fluid in the torque converter. Check the body for rust, around the windows and door seals.

good luck

For the later model cars 70-K miles is low mileage.

Todays cars with good care can reach 300K and more.

It is not the component of the car that makes the high mileage bad it is the person that sits in the drivers seat.

Change the oil, check the tires, be aware of its' performance and treat it like you would your best friend. Girl or Boy!

Good Luck!!!

YOu can stop driving and let the car sit in the garage for a few years. That way you will have a classic with low mileage! LMAO

Trying to reverse mileage is illegal and a lot of cars have sensors so be careful.
Mine has 175K and I never did anything to it besides regular maintenance.

first off,70k isnt even started to be considered high mileage, unless it was only a couple years old.70k is just the beginning of most cars lives if you take care of it well enough.
So if thats what you think, you should get it looked at,because somethings going wrong with it that probally shouldnt be,or your overlooking something.Ive heard of engines going on average upto about 200k or more(especially in hondas and saturns). And ive even heard of some lincolns getting upto 635k.yeah believe it or not on ONE engine.

70,000 is almost nothing in comparison to most "high mileage" cars... just keep it's oil changed and keep it inspected

As long as you keep the oil changed every 3,000 miles... or with Mobil 1 Synthetic 3-4 thousand... you're engine will probably last beyond 200,000 miles

unless you have a Dodge they'll go out on you really fast... and I wouldn't reccomend online car shopping just because of long distance delivery/pickups

what do you mean make it better? like you want to put NOS on it and destroy your car? If it is not broke i say don't fix it. the nice thing about not having a new car is that it is cheaper, both with insurance and payments. I bought my '91 toyota celica with 86,000 miles on it. I still drive it almost every day. About once a season i have to put money into it, but it is still cheaper than a monthly payment and much higher insurance.
