Nope. If it's an island with vegetation on it, there will be a way to make/adapt the boat so it would fit two people. Most likely, if unable to do, would use it to fish from but I would not leave another person behind.

I would tell you about the boat and together we would decide which of us would go for help. Either way, both are in a bad situation. No I wouldn't just leave you.

If ti was vital to go, we would have to determine who between us had the best chance of survival int he open sea. That person goes and comes back to recsue the remaining person
