Our extended families celebrate Mothers' Day, Thanksgiving, Xmas, Easter, and birthdays.
We celebrate Valentine's Day, Halloween, and Father's Day at home with our kids. (We don't have any fathers or grandfathers left.)
When we were younger, we used to celebrate Halloween, the Fourth of July, Cinquo de Mayo, and St. Patrick's Day with parties with our friends, but in our old age we're down to just New Year's!
I don't ignore any at all. If there's something to do or something to eat, I'm there! :)

I celebrate the major holidays--Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Fourth of July--but not the little ones like Flag Day, Grandparents Day or Sweetest Day. I ignore St Patricks, Kawanza, and Halloween.

I usually celebrate the holidays I get off from work, as a rule.
To the person above me, Christopher Columbus first arrived in the New World in 1492, and the Pilgrims arrived in 1609.
