The 3 Duke lacrosse players who were pronounced "innocent" in the end by the state's attorney general may end up getting $30 million from the city of Durham, NC, in a settlement.

What happened to their reputation is sad.

But, in an odd sense, are they "lucky" that Top Democrat Sharpton fed the fire to smear the reputations of these men who turned out to be innocent? They may end up with more money than most people will ever see.

I hope so. After they win that 30 million they should sue Duke university for another 30 million. Then they should go after the the prosecutor and get him put in prison for for the time that they would have served if they were found guilty. Then they should go after the stripper that accused them in the first place. How come her name has never been released?

Al Sharpton, who doesn't have a divinity degree nor does he act reverential, has never apologized to the Duke lacrosse players.

The only reason the racist and false reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson get attention in the mainstream media is because they are part of the liberal establishment.

I think they'll get money due to the legal system, media, and politicians declaring them guilty when all evidence pointed to their innocense. And, I have to say that those guys deserve every penny they get, and I'm proud they're also asking for reform to protect men accused of rape, instead of soley the woman.

Now women, I think rape is a horrible offense, and I think any man who commits it needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. But at the same time, laws against those accused needs to go both ways to protect innocent men from women like the one in this particular case.

City should pay for breaking the law. Wrongful Arrest. District Attorney failed to investigate before arresting the players.

They were railroaded by an over-zealous prosecutor. The sentiment was fed by a rabid media and egged on by Al Sharpton et al.

No. They may get $30 million because they were railroaded. How much should innocent people on death row receive?

I hope the do. I think they have Mike Nifong to thank more than anyone. He's the one who tried to go to court with no witnesses.
