How do you use a Ouija Board?

me and my friend just bought one.. but dont really know how to start. and dont really know the correct questions to ask to get a response from spirits and so on.. please share your expiriences. thanks

All these fear surrounding the Ouija board started after the movie the exorcist came out. Before that it was never taken seriously and so had less power over our psyche.

If you want to read a book about how to use the Ouija board for magickal evocation or to communicate with your subconscious I recommend a book called Aleister Crowley and the Ouija Board...it provides you with a pretty good history of Ouija and how to use it without getting interference from unwanted energies.

Like others have said the board is just a board...its a tool for communication, and you could use anything to do the same thing....drawing out letters on a board and swinging a pendulum over it or automatic writing. It's not dangerous or evil for someone who is grounded in reality. Enjoy the experiences you have while using the board, but when you say goodbye let that be it. Don't sit around and wonder about who you just talked to...when the board is over that person doesn't exist.

If you can grasp that concept you will use the board with no problems...its the paranoid ones that give it a bad name.

Don't let people scare you. The Ouija board and planchette are just amplifiers of any innate talent for divination you may have.

For the first question you might ask, "Do I have any Magickal talents. However, ask it only in your mind and tell your friend that the next question can be theirs. Both you and your friend lightly place your fingertips on the planchette. Then close your eyes and wait. If after ten or so minutes the planchette doesn't answer that is an answer in itself. If the planchette moves weight until it stops. Open your eyes--unless it is on yes, make a note of where it stopped. Do this until you have a completed answer.

Remember, nothing in Magick is evil unless you try to use Magick for evil. There are no spirits or devils in the board only in the souls of the humans that may use them.

Just place The piece on th board in the center and ask away..I have been told that you are to never ask the board what Ouija means..not sure why...If you don't like what your hearing or get uncomfortable always say good-bye and pull the eye piece to good-bye..it you leave with out doing so it could leave what ever "spirit" you were talking to trapped...those are just a few of the things I have heard on them..not sure how true any of it is..but I always felt better safe than sorry...I quit messing with them quite a while ago got to freaky knowing what the board was going to say before it said it..even more so when I didn't even have to be one of the people using the thing..

I would suggest that you take this to the nearest river and throw it in...take a catholic priest with you..trust me, they know which way the water needs to be running...to do this...this is something that shouldn't be used as a toy..this can open up a can of worms that you will not be able to deal with...leave them alone... someone brought one into my house about 25 years ago...took it to the father at my church..we went to the river where he said a blessing and threw it in...the water has to be rushing downstream..would recommend to get a catholic priest for this...or ask Sylvia Browne...

i never reccomend using a ouija bored, because of the serious reprucutions it may have. when you use a ouija bored, you are opening a portal into the netherworld. when you open it, you allow all spirits (good or evil) to enter. once you let an evil spirit, or even demon, into your home, its nearly impossible to get out. but if you must, to get started, call the spirits of the deceaced, and ask, dont command, if they will talk to you. when your down, tell the spirit goodbye, otherwise it will stay. if you ever come across something bad never, NEVER, burn the board. this will permanatly open the portal. i hope i discouraged you from using it, and i also hope you kept the reciept.

btw, you can ask what ouija means, it means yes yes oui-is french for yes ja- is german for yes.

Gather a small number of people, and have everyone place their hands on the board, while in a meditative state.

Have one person keep their eyes open to track progress, or have a person stay back and record.

Congratulations, you were just suckered out of however much money you paid for that thing.

It's a board game; the goal is to see how long it takes for you to convince yourself you're actually communicating with a "spirit" while you guys are moving the freaking planchette yourselves.

So gullible...as if something sold by freaking HASBRO would allow someone to do something like that. Hell, in all likelihood there aren't even any such things as spirits to begin with! What, do you think your consciousness magically floats around without your brain (look at one vegetable on life support and tell me consciousness can exist without brain activity) after you die? How gullible can you be?

No. Take it back and get Tarot cards instead. You will invite into your lives things you have no power to remove when using a Ouija board.
