Click Start, click Run, type dxdiag, OK. Select Display tab to get video card details. Select Sound tab to get soundcard details.

It is actually the same process for a desktop. It is just SO EASY to upgrade the video card on a desktop but next to impossible in laptops.

You can right click on My PC , go to Properties, then on the opening window you can read on the mid the speed of your processor and the RAM you have installed, on the Hardware tab on the top , using the hardware administrator you may check for the rest of the devices !

Another alternative, which i think is faster, is creating a file with notepad called wathever.nfo and try opening , it will open you a window and tell you theres an error, but then at that window you can read the characteristics of your laptop

cheers

the game requirements are same for laptops and desktops and you can find it on game developer's website or on the game box
easiest way to find ALL abt yr hardware and software:
- go to www.belarc.com
- download FREE Belarc Advisor
- done
it will tell you ALL abt yr hardware and software
for laptops generally if you have laptop cheaper than $ 800
forget abt gaming on it (except some older ones) - hp $ 850
comes with 256 kb graphic card - you can find it for $ 800 as special deal - everything lower than that is useless
