Did you also feel ripped off? Am I crazy or should a rated R movie have some violence and vulgarity? If A senior citizen wants to see a western they should watch an old John Wayne movie. "Best western since (Tombstone)" Please-- I know what A waste of 8 dollars feels like. It will be a long time before I go to A movie on the first night agian.

Did we see the same movie? I thought it was great! And, last time I looked, shooting people to pieces does count as violence! I mean, heck, I was squirming in my seat when the doctor dug that bullet out of the Pinkerton man.

Those were fine performances and an interesting show! But, yeah, if you feel that way then do stay home on opening night. Wait until you've had time to read several reviews by people who share your worldview.

I thought this was very rated R. There was enough violence and vulgarity... all the killing in this movie was VERY vulgar.
It was a great film and I agree that Russell Crowe and Christian Bale both give AMAZING performances.

btw... Glen Ford actualy played Ben Wade (played by Russell Crowe).
