Sleeping when first one hit tower, woke up, watched second one. Called people who were supposed to be in the area. Asked my dad to drive me into the city. Didn't know how bad it was until they fell. I was in NJ my house. Thought Statue of liberty was next. Yelled expletives at the terrorists from the begining, through tv.

I guess none of us will ever forget that day. It was my first day of maternity leave, pregnant with my youngest son, had just got my kinder garden daughter off to school and turned on the tube to check the weather. While my then 3 year-old son climbed on my lap I watched the report of a plane that had struck one of the twin towers. I thought it was a horrible accident and wondered how they were going to put out that fire. Then, the second plane struck the wtc. I live in rural northern Michigan, had never been to NY and just didn't get the scope of the tragedy. I thought it was a small plane. When the reports came of an "explosion" at the pentagon, I woke my mother joking (I thought) "Wake up Granny, we're under attack" By noon, I knew that our world, my children's world had forever changed.

I'll never forget. My parents had come for a visit in their RV. My dad and I were sitting outside on a picnic table talking when a lady walking a dog walked by. She said we had been attacked and it was just on the news. Dad and I went in his RV and turned the TV on to the news. Mom was still sleeping since it was early. I just knew it was some kind of horrible accident. We saw the 2nd one hit. We barely left the TV all day. Came to my house and turned on news again. I am sure millions of people lived by their TV that day!

Flying towards the twin towers. (bad joke, sorry)
I was living in Argentina at that time, during the first attack I was on my way to work, when I arrived somebody told me about the first attack, but at that time we tought it was an accident.
With the second attack we understood what was going on and everybody was just looking for information on internet (no tv at work)
