Ha, Ha . You are talking bout Abyss and yes certain aspects of the persona are based on both Kane + Mankind , his mask was originally given to him by Mankind an at an indies show part of the strap broke an he never bothered to have it fixed . He may look like a kane / mankind hybrid though he defintly has a slightly different style than kane , his finihser is one of the more brutal moves I've seen he calls it the " black hole slam " a spinning version of the move Bossman used.

I'm not sure when Abyss came up with the gimmick or whether TNA came up it it ... I've heard he had it before his days in TNA?
I never really thought of him as a Kane wannabe but definitely a Mankind wannabe. He has some of the exact same mannerisms Foley used with his Mankind character.

i really thought tna would be serious competition for the wwe
now, i see things going to hell faster then hitler, the x-division is a joke, new superstars are getting pushed to tha moon, while putting other talent thats paid there dues in the shadow(much like the wwe but, tna is supposed to be different then the wwe) also putting all belts on kurt was a huge mistake

They're copying off of WWE's ideas beside's WWE's Mankind and Kane is so much better than Abyss.

Tna doesnt come up with any original ideas. The last one they had was the X-Division and now look at that, its a joke. Tna is crap and only getting worse.

Probally because they couldnt think of there own ideas so they just copied wwe, and they probally thought no one would notice.
