Could be your DSL modem- could also be an issue with equipment at your Internet Service Provider's end.

If your ISP uses PPPOE, they could be disconnecting you after a set period of time, intentionally. You shouldn't have to reboot, but there is a short delay while the connection is established again (sorta like dial-up)

Definitely call your ISP and have them troubleshoot where the problem is.

Do you use an extension cable? Is the phone on the main outlet port of the bt phone socket as i had problems with my bt extension phone-box.The problem lay in the phone box extension.Depending on you I.P (if its BT you will be ok,they will tell what way to test the port on the phone oulet for faulty line) these all can cause disconnections.Also try filters. Call IP first.They will try a few diagnostic tests with you. Call them immediately you get disconected Its sickening i know ive been there,

Call your Internet Service Provider. It's their job to ensure that you're satisfied with your internet.

It would be better to ask them rather than some stranger on the internet.
