I had problems reading when I was young and was behind the other kids in my class. Then somewhere around your age my older brother pretty much forced me to start reading good literature: meaning novels, serious poetry, articles. And he handed me a dictionary and said "Never read past a word you don't understand. Stop and look the word up. Then keep reading and keep the dictionary with you. Do the same with each word you don't understand. And after awhile you'll find that there are less and less words you have to look up."

It wasn't easy at first but his advice helped me more than any of my earlier teachers ever did for improving my vocabulary.

Another thing that will help you grow as a writer is to always use the best grammar you can. Never get into the habit of using 'shortcuts' like 'u' or 'rite' or not using the capitol 'I' when you express yourself. Bad grammar habits are hard to break and good habits will last a lifetime.

Lol, hi am 13. I also write poetry since I was 11. But by then I had quite a good vocabulary. Read a lot of books, and the words will come to you. For example if ur inspired to write something, and this word pops up in ur head, but you don't exactly knwo completely what it means, just go google " ______ definition". it's most likely the word ur looking for. Email me if u want to talk about poetry and such, hehe.

The best thing to do (what I did when I was in school), is to use a thesaurus and a dictionary. You can even buy a rhyme dictionary that list all the words that rhyme with any given word of your choice, then if you are unsure of the definition or meaning, look it up in, like say, Websters dictionary, or something. I still use dictionaries. By the way, your question is full of spelling and grammatical errors. Ask your English teacher to recommend some good English grammer reference books, and use them when you write. That will help a lot.

Get a dictionary from the library and continue to renew it. Good poetry does not come from help, it comes from the author.
