None of the above. The US didn't pull out of Vietnam in 1973; they hung around until April 30, 1975.
It didn't take 2 years for a takeover, and the takeover didn't occur in 1975. A military government took control and on July 2, 1976 the country was officially united as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam with its capital in the northern city of Hanoi. Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh City.

Most US forces had withdrawn, some, mostly close air support forces were still fighting nearly up to the fall of Saigon to the NVA.
