Take an ATM card, (debit card or bank card,) and check with your bank it is ready for use abroad and what it costs for use.
You can get money everywhere in those towns, also on the airport.
If you have a credit card bring it, for the higher bills like hotels. (You can use it at an ATM too, but mostly at a higher fee.)
If you want to change money, just go to the exchange offices. The rates are often published on internet, but remember that you either pay a flat fee or get a poorer rate than that on internet.
The rate you get when you get money from the ATM is the best.

If you insist on phoning with the money changers (I would not know what they can tell you or even if they answer the phone) google on the name of the airport, money exchange office.
That should get you to the right website. You can search for a number there or go to the yellow pages kind of website, (google on phone number Madrid) and search there.

Why not convert it before you go? Try triple A or an American express travel center.
