Honestly, i've never heard of a hard disk drive not working because of the processor. I'm not sure, but i have a pentium 3 prossesor and i installed a 120 gb hdd with no problems. All i did was make sure i had the right pin connections and made sure whether it is ATA or SATA. Again i'm not 100% sure, but good luck!

Yes you should be able to very easily. Just make sure that the drive you get is an EIDE or PATA (they are the same thing) hard drive. The electronics section employees at the store you get it from should be able to tell you what it is. You could upgrade your hard drive to any size of disk that you want as long as your running XP with SP2 (basically if you have an up to date version of XP).
Here's a little tutorial on how to do it... http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/pcperipherals/0,39051168,61963966,00.htm

Wow, for that database to take 5 minutes to load, which could be a great database. regrettably with that form of documents, indexed under are my conceivable recommendations. Get a greater powerful processor and greater suitable RAM. My suggestion is a minimum of an Athlon64 X2 3800 and a minimum of 2GB of RAM. it could help fairly with the loading time.

depends on the interface.. If they are the same interface then that's fine. Your PC's interface is probably ATA..
