I cannot believe what 20/20 (ABC) will do for ratings! Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! They criticized Dateline for making "dramatic" arrests for ratings while all the while 20/20 is bashing a good thing and starting a tiff for what, RATINGS! Who cares if the arrests are dramatic, who cares that "Dateline took over the operation" if it gets child predators off the streets then so be it!!! I also love how they made the show all somber when talking about the assistant DA that died "because of Dateline". HELLLOO, did I miss something here? We are talking about a man that took his OWN life because he likes to have sex with children! We are not talking about a poor little innocent man that was scared because the police were outside his house. The power of jeleousy is amazing. Maybe it's the appropriate time to say "Give me a break".

I am familiar with that particular case, and in fact watched the original 'Dateline" where the guy took his life. I have always loved the "Dateline" episodes because it names and shames these sickos, as well as taking them off the streets.
This was a very selfish act by ABC designed only to bash another network, attempting to trump themselves up in the process. They would score more points with me if they worked to get criminals off the streets the way 'Dateline" has.

I am just mad because these freaking predators just get a smack on their dirty hands and sent to the prison for um, what a year. And then they are back out doing it again and again. to hell with those sick pervs. The should spend 20 til life in the joint . The things that they have done to poor innocent little children is horidous. I think they should spend more time in the prison system, or get the privates chopped off so they wont hurt anymore children again

I am FUMING over this!!!! ABC 20/20 should be BOYCOTTED. They are doing a diservice to every Parent and Child out there.
Who gives a damn about that pervert freak who killed himself, I say it is better they kill themselves than OUR CHILDREN. Good Riddance. And I pray DATELINE keeps doing an AMAZING Job!

Yes, I agree with you. One prosecuter let ALL the preds go because they said it was done illegally. They are trying to get them back into court. These guys have no conscience!!! I think in the case of children being raped or molested, they need to think about castration. Also, teachers who rape young boys need a hysterectomy so they can't make 12 yr old children the father of their babies.

I'll agree with you. I sort of thought it was in no way Dateline's fault when that guy killed himself. (I'm not saying he should have killed himself or anything, suicide is terrible.) But it's not the network's fault. The guy just got caught and couldn't face the music.

I missed this one.
Just another thought....what about the children who are sexually molested and grow up with mental issues, perhaps even committing suicide. Oftentimes it's a downward spiral for these children.
