Absolutely not. I know Wisconsin was a blue state in 2004, and we have a democrat governor, but actually almost as many people voted for Bush as voted for Kerry in 2004. In that election, Wisconsin wa probably the most closely contested blue state (except for maybe Pennsylvania). However, there were some hard-core liberals who wanted Wisconsin to secede because Bush won. There were some editorials in the Wisconsin State Journal (Madison's newspaper) in December 2004 written by liberals who wanted wisconsin to secede. Some of them also said that the U.S. shoudl split into Republican and Democratic halves, and all the red states would join the republican half and all the blue states would join the democratic half. It's all complete lunacy of course, in most states no more than about 2/3 of the population voted for any one candidate. It especially wouldn't work here in Wisconsin, because almost half the voters supported Bush and woudn't have wanted to secede at all. So, it's true that some liberals wanted to secede, but the state government certainly never threatened to, nor did the consider seceding. The editorials in question were written by hard-core liberals, Madison is actually a very liberal city. Without Madison Wisconsin would probably be a red state.

Ridiculous. Define Wisconsin. The whole state threatened to secede? Who exactly could carry out such a threat?

Blue states are Liberal States, Liberals are statists, Bush replaced into yet another great State President. pink States are Conservative, Conservatives prefer community government and decentralized Federal government. Obama is a sizeable State President with little regard for Constitutionality and forces upon a unfastened human beings his mandates of authoritarianism. usa is a Republic not a Democracy.
