Any Americans remember this date?
I hope so, as we remember the Americans that were killed on 11th September 2001, I hope some of you guys remember the 202 people killed in Bali by terrorists exactly 1 year and 1 day after.

Thank you for calling this to our attention. I must confess that I did not remember this date and had not been fully aware of the complete story.
I will be reading more about this tragic event and will also extend my deepest sympathy to the survivors and families of the lost souls.

Peace,

Buzzy

I remember the Bali bombings. Even though we have a cretin for a PM we didn't go and invade a country that had nothing to do with it either...

Not like that moron Bushpig

Of course we do and we were horrified too. Are you trying to start trouble or lessen what happened on Sept. 11th? I hope not. That was huge news here as well it should have been. Sept. 11th has been ingrained in our minds. Perhaps people don't all remember the exact date of what happened in Bali but they all remember. I'm sure many people aren't sure of the date not just us Americans but we won't forget that.

Yep sure do - the first Bali bombing. I knew someone who was at the Sari Club that night - he survived, but is permanently traumatised. He lost some of his buddies. Horrific. I felt really sorry for the Balinese too, who lost their income and reputation for many months.

My son was born on the 14.10.02. I remember reading the paper in hospital to see if anyone I new died. I will never forget the mixes of emotions I was feeling that day. I'm an Aussie and it was really hard to imagine it happening so close to home.
