People who think that:
1. Radical Islam does not reflect "true" islamic scripture
2. Islam is a peaceful religion
3. Islam and judeo-Christianity worship the same god
Obviously know nothing about Islam or history. Read the Islamic scriptures. Not the flowery BS, but the bits like about how the banu Qurayza tribe was marched to the Medina town square and butchered over a space of ten hours while Mohammed watched and laughed and joked, and then he went to rape one of their women who had watched her father and brothers die. Not making this up. It's in their hadith. He had Allah's permission though, so I guess it was all right.

Not all Democrats believe Islam is harmless and just about religion. What you are describing is apathy and it runs through party lines. Until something happens like another 9/11 many of our so called leaders will take no action to combat the issue.

Doesn't sound much like an honest question. More like a political statement.
In the end, "Democrats" don't believe that radical Islam is a religion. Some democrats believe that it is a religion and some democrats don't believe it is a religion. Same would be true of Republicans.

"Radical islam is not a religion, it is a political belief system, their goal is global domination and the conversion or slaughter of infidels."
What the heck do you think an "infidel" is? It's an unbeliever. An unbeliever in Islam, in Allah. Of course he's talking religion, you oaf. And Islam means "submission," so Muslims all over the world struggle with what's going on now and are hesitant to raise their voices because they may be seen as bad Muslims or, worse yet, traitors. Those who do speak out become infidels themselves. Just ask Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
Anyone who does not speak this truth is like those who sat by in Nazi Germany and said, "This is not happening."
It's totally in the name of religion and a strict religious system and world domination of that religion by a group of (you guessed it) religious zealots. Why you would think otherwise is absurd.

By saying it is a religion they discount it as just a few wackos, to realize the extent of the belief system would be agreeing with President Bush and they would rather wear a burka, honey, than do that!

RADICAL Islam is definitely more political...it's about world domination and rule...it has it's beginnings in religion but has long since ceased being primarily about worship.

no see, ISLAM is a religion, always has been.
RADICAL ISLAM, is just that, fanatics of that religion.
RADICAL ANYTHING is dangerous, including things like christianity, nationalism, political beliefs, etc.
and what they're doing now is really no different than what christians did during the crusades and the spanish inquisition.
this is no different than when you see some crazy right wing republican telling people that christianity is the only answer to life, and that they're glad that gay people burn in hell or that abortion clinics get burned down. its a religious belief that they've MADE into politics.
there are plenty of sane islamists out there, and they're no different than christians who believe that everyone else is going to hell when they die, which is a pretty "radical" idea to me. i think its pretty "radical" that you think that all democrats feel that way, and its even worse that you cant seem to accept that other people have other ideas. that seems like a pretty "radical right wing republican" thing to me.

Even if you join you are still an infidel. Shiites and Sunnis can't even get along. An American Muslim, you'll be the first people to be looking for your rolling heads. Reminds you of Hilter promising he would not attack Russia.

I believe liberals would fight them effectively and efficiently without killing thousands of innocent people unnecessarily and without bankrupting our country, while re-establishing our position in the world community like it should have been done in the first place. Liberals would have wiped up Afghanistan instead of dropping the ball and going full force into a country that had no terrorists and no WMD. Now we're in a he]] of a mess refereeing a civil war and arming our previous enemy who seems every bit as crazy as the jihadists.

ignorant.
christianity doesn't sound any better than islam when you compare the books. Both are bloody. Even Jesus says if you dont' believe you should be killed.
Their religion isn't any different than Christianity when it comes down to it. It's just that our country's doing well and we can go to Barnes and Noble (well, the liberals can. The Republicans don't read, obviously) or go enjoy a movie or many other things. If you crazy Republicans didn't have all kinds of things to buy and do, you'd be acting like the radical Islamists.
You know you would.
