Of course. I do it everyday. If you think nurses are underpaid- look at what teachers make. We are catching up- but think about it. Most professions that demand a four year degree with constant up to date training pay a little more than $30,000 a year.

But- I love doing it. I couldn't imagine working another job even if it paid more. I come home with a smile almost everyday! You have to make sure that you enjoy what you do.

I would, and do work, for a lower paying position that what I am worth. It fits into my schedule, I am a mom, and I get to go to school. Less stress is a good incentive, too. Not everyone has the luxury of getting a dream job with a great salary.

I have done just that. I'm a nurse, a very underpaid profession. I accepted my jobs over the years based in large part on what satisfaction the job gave me.

Yes, I most definitely would! After working at a homeless shelter for a year and seeing people's attitudes of the whole world owes me something. I would rather work my @ss off and support myself rather then go on welfare or something!

It depends on my options, you know it's easier to get a job if you have one then if you don't.
If there are no other jobs at the time yes.
At least I'd be doing something positive.

Yes, too much pride can bring you lower than you want to go.
