You should not do anything you do not want to. If she does not understand than she is not your best friend than is she?

You don't want to do it, so don't do it. The most important person you need to be a friend to and true to is YOURSELF! Your friend may be important to you, but you are more important to yourself. The things in life that you will most regret doing are those that you did despite your own inclinations. If you find it difficult to tell your friend no, or to tell her you don't want to, then give yourself an activity, a chore, or an appointment and tell your friend that you have to.....whatever it is.
I like to use "make soup". Anytime you don't want to do something with or for someone or something, just say "Sorry, I have to make soup." They won't know what you are talking about and that doesn't really matter. Just say it firmly, so they know you mean it.

Explain that as much as it may seem as being fun it's not what you feel would be fun. If she really is a good friend that shouldn't bother her, if it's a big deal she's only trying to impress the other people you're with. Most times the truth isn't a bad thing, but don't put her down for wanting to either. Be true to yourself and think for yourself if it's not what you want to do then don't ....... period !!!!

I assume by drink you mean alcohol, not just juice and you're refusing to...so I'd say that you should tell your friend, straight up, that you don't want to drink. Don't be ashamed of not wanting to drink and feeling the pressure to, because there are actually more and more teens summoning the courage to say no to drinking, and some people do not even like drinking if they are over 21.

Your best friend would never make you do something you don't want to. Just clearly tell her drinking isn't something you want to do - it certainly isn't "cool", it actually is quite unhealthy to drink excessively.
If she insists, forget about her. She's not your friend. I hate sounding like I have no feelings, but that's the way life is. You will always make more friends.

DON'T BE AFRAID TO SAY NO. If you drink, you will more than likely be sorry the next day or get in trouble, it isn't worth it, and if your friend insists or pressures you, then you don't need a friend like that either, your friend should respect your decisions. Don't drink, stay safe, stay sober.

You don't have to drink if you don't wont to!!! Just tell her no. If she is your true friend then everything will be cool with it. And if you think that you are not being cool enough by not drinking, just make a joke of "well somebody better stay sober to make sure you wont do nothing stupid". And hopefully she will be fine with that. Don't ever do something you don't wont to do.

Angel darling.. if she is your best friend she should respect your opinion. Just tell her that you don't think that it is cool and that you would rather not. If she still tries to push you into it.. then tell her that you will sit this one and out. Spend the night with your parent's (or whomever loves you and takes care of you) and if you feel comfortable... talk to them about it!
You rock girl! You are making some good choices!

First of all, listen to all these people here and just SAY NO.
Also, she could possibly hurt herself. I would leave her a note telling her how much you love her friendship and don't want to see her getting hurt. Tell her the effects, too. She could quite possibly die. Offer to do something else, instead, too. Something fun. If she doesn't listen, though, remember it's HER CHOICE, but you CAN tell her parents. And should.

Simply tell her you don't want to drink period. She can't MAKE YOU! You can tell her you're allergic to alcohol...You cannot drink, therefore you don't have to worry about it again. If anyone has a drinking problem but quit & doesn't want to, I've heard them tell someone they are allergic & it makes them break out. Yea, it truly does make them break out - break out of their reason to quit! So all in all, they're really telling the truth, just not adding on their reason, which is just fine! DON'T DRINK period. You don't need to, you don't have to. Stick by your convictions...
