Although I am not a woman I can tell you my experience. My wife did not support me when I wanted to start a legitamite business. To make a long story shory I am stuck with a job I hate, a commute I abhore and a life that is miserable.

If it makes you happier, then I think the benefits would be felt throughout the family.

I wish you good luck on your future endeavors!

As long as the business was not illegal or harmful to others. Life is a short journey and sometimes we have to take risks and pursue our dreams. The journey is so much better if we have a partner at our side who believes in and supports us.

Your question confused me a little. Would he be passionate about prostitution? banking? gambling? I guess I need to know the type of business before I could really say if I would be supportive and proud of him.

Well now , depends on whether or not it was a dangerous job.. I might let him know how I feel about it , but changing jobs, is pretty much up to him . Having a job one likes makes a lot of difference , and it makes it easier to go to it each day if it isn't full of stress.

If it was risky and would put our family in jeopardy, I would certainly bring that point up. Otherwise, part of being married is to support each other and help each other reach goals and dreams...so I would be very supportive.

I'd feel proud of him for pursuing his dream, but nervous about it working out.

If it was legal, sure. Think everyone should go after what they are passionate about in life or they will regret it years later. If it makes him happy, then I am happy for him.

Unless it is illegal or immoral I would be supportive. the best friend I ever had is doing what makes him happy. and that would make me happy for him. a happyspouse is important and struggling at a job you hate is the worst.
