I've never heard of it being illegal to walk up to a drive-thru ATM.
The companies that make the ATM faceplates dont' want to make plates with and without braille. It's an inefficient and non-cost-effective way to run an assembly line.
Besides, I can take my almost-blind 84yo mother to an ATM in my car. She can lean over me and use the Braille or sit in the back seat.

There is a huge organization out there to make your life difficult and confusing. It makes a point to show you things you can't imagine or do anything about because you spent most of your life not imagining how it must be to be blind, deaf, mute, or limbless. Congratulations! You passed the test of consideration about things that don't affect you.
I think you are a nice person and just didn't think about this.

Think.
Someone that has a blind passenger in their car could drive in from the other direction so their passenger would have use of the ATM.

Cause we got Dee Dee Dees!
It's like those signs up in restaurants that say "No dogs except seeing eye ones." A blind person can't read the poster!
But then again, my grandma did try to iron her pants while wearing them because someone told her she could. Her very THIN pants. True story.
