I'm taking a womanly pole out there looking to see how many women feel if their husband is affectionate and whether you are happy in your marriage. Can a woman be truly happy in a marriage if they feel that they do not receive enough physical affection from their husbands (not concerning sex, just affection - hugs, kisses, loving touches and words, etc.)

For your main question, I can honestly say YES, my husband is very affectionate. Everyday, he shows me his affection and love and he gives me the attention that I needed.

For your next question which is "Can a woman be truly be happy in a marriage if they feel that they do not receive enough physical affection from their husbands?"
I'd say NO on this one because I believe that getting enough physical affection from your husband is a way to boost your own self-esteem and confidence. At the same time, physical affection brings you closer to each other in an intimate level. Touching and feeling each other is a form of communication between two people. The way a husband touches and holds his wife means a lot.

When my husband holds me (whether it's hugging, kissing or just a simple sweet touch), I feel loved.

Mine is and has always been very affectionate. We cuddle, hug, are playful all the time. Tis one reason I love him so.

I, personally, feel a woman (and men also) require attention and need affection. I am always affectionate toward him too. When each gives to the other it is wonderful.

Relationship change and evolve. The affection that was once shown in one way may change into being expressed another way. I think the most important thing is that both partners are happy with however the affection is expressed.

I'm highly affectionate with my wife.
I love holding her hand, or putting my arm around her.
I even thought she looked so awesome-pretty in kroger that I had to kiss her right on the bread aisle.

No! I don't think the word affectionate is in his vocabulary. Not much else to say on this.

If you are asking, there is a problem. Admit it to yourself then you can start to do something about it.
