Yes. Its freaky after a while.
Yet on a psychological standpoint people generally do this because they want the other person to say "I love you". Either that or they lack confidence pertaining to the relationship.

Yes....it sounds stupid. But I think that if someone that I loved, & I knew they loved me...& they kept on telling me all the time. I would think that they have a guilty concious about something & they're trying to make me feel better so that they feel better about what they did. Or I'd think that they're unsure of their true feelings.
