Lately I sometimes notice white (dried up) discharge from my nipples. Actually, sometimes only one side and sometimes both sides. I asked my doctor about it and all she said was "it'd come off".

Is this normal at this early stage of pregnancy?

Serious answers only, please.

Yes, this can happen at all stages of pregnancy. Just wash around it with a gentle washcloth in the shower.

Is this your first pregnancy? yes, the discharge is normal, but I'm concerned that you're doctor didn't go into detail with you about it. Demand detailed answers of your doctor (ask I mean). You have the right to know everything that is going on with your body, and if you want a more detailed answer, you ask for it! While your doctor does know best most of the time, don't forget that your doctor works for you! It is that doctors privledge to have you as a patient, and yes, you can choose a different doctor. This is a two way street, your doctor can drop you as a patient, but don't forget, if you want more answers, and you ask them, but your doctor doesn't 'deliver', let them know how unsatisfied you are with their half answered questions....

Yes it is normal if it bothers you try taking a hot shower everyday and use a wash cloth to gently rub it off while standing with your breasts in the hot water. It helped me.

yep its normal. i have 2 kids and all that is - is your body getting ready for feeding your baby. it starts any where from a few weeks to months. as you come closer to the arrival date it will get more frequent and allot more will come out.

you can buy nursing pads to help absorb the wet.
best of luck and enjoy while they are little!!

It sounds a little early, but I'm sure its normal. I'd question my choice of dr. though, she sounds like shes not concerned with your concerns.

It is normal! Your breasts are gearing up for breastfeeding! Think of yourself as lucky!
