Some of your best lesson are learned that way. Old saying goes something like this If it does not kill you it will just make you stronger. The lesson I have learned have made me strong and prepared me for things that came my way that were hard and my lessons made them soft and easy to deal with. be an optimist and don't let thing get you down. Keep a smile in your mind.

Sometimes, yes. I have learned many lessons the hard way. Most of the time you dont have a chance to learn the lesson until the bad stuff happens. It makes you grown as a person and what does not kill you only makes you stronger..

Not all of them. Some you can learn from watching the mistakes that other people make and decide not to go down that path. Others, you have to painfully learn yourself. Those are the ones you never forget. If you don't learn the lesson completely and get over the issue that brought the lesson to you, you will repeat it more frequently and with more intensity.

You see, that's the thing. My mom has sheltered me for so long, that she doesn't want me to "learn the hard way." She says "don't do it" and thinks I won't ever do it because she said not to. Not to be mean, but she's a little crazy paranoid. Man, I can't even go to the library without setting a specific time for me to be back. She doesn't realize that if it's supposed to happen, it's going to happen. She can't stop the inevitable. She knows I'm going to learn about life the hard way, but she is trying her damndest to make sure I don't. Someday i will, though, and I think it will be worth it, because going through things the hard way will only make you a stronger person and make you try harder to do better.

I sure have in the past. I hope I've matured some since then and can learn life's lessons in a slightly less painful way!!!

Yes, I sold my car for the first time, after many problems, I bought a 1995 Saturn was ripped off for the $2,500 and had to pay $800 to have it smogged to resell, and I only got $1,200 out of it. At the same time the new owner never registered it, drove it though fast track 3 times, and had the car towed. The tow company now wants me to pay $1,400. Luckly, if it wasn't for my girlfriend saving the release statement I would have been even more screwed.

Sadly, yes. I do learn life's lessons the "hard way".
But I guess it'll benefit me in the long run.
