You'll have to pay out of pocket for it, since there is no medical reason to have to get another one done. Or just wait the next 5-7 weeks out and you will be able to find out for sure what you are having without having to pay out of pocket for an u/s.

When I had my son, they tried at 18 weeks and again at 22 weeks and could never get a clear shot, I had u/s every 2 weeks but they could never get a clear shot as my son stayed on his tummy during the u/s. They took a guess it was a boy and so when delivery day came we felt it was a boy and had been feeling that way all along. But we were also open to if it was wrong. Well they were not wrong and we had a son, he just turned 1 yr old 2 days ago.

I am pregnant with twins now and at 18 weeks the tech could tell one was a girl and the other was copying my son being on its tummy. They tried again at 20 weeks and 22 weeks (I have incompetent cervix so get u/s every 2 weeks) and no real luck, they guessed it was a girl since 18 weeks to present. Just last week at 28 weeks was the tech able to get a shot of the goods. She double checked the other baby to make sure she wasn't seeing the same baby and confirmed that we are having twin girls.

Just wait it out, the baby will be here before you know it and most likely they guessed right. Mine did each time.

Most likely they are telling you no because your insurance won't cover it. If you offer to pay for it they will give you one. Also, you can get a 4d ultrasound (comes with a dvd and everything), you can look it up on the internet for providers in your area.... Again you will have to pay for it out of pocket. It ranges in cost, usually anywhere from 150-250$.
Very Best Wishes!

go have a 3D/4D one done. There are many places that will do those, they are not covered by insurance but it would be a way for you to see your baby and determine the sex for sure. You can get online and find one in your area and it will give the prices etc...most are between 100-250 dollars depending on the session and location.

I know for my insurance i was only able to get 2. My 8 week one, and my 20 week one. I know that now if i want another one i have to pay out of my own pocket. I just got the bill for mine from my 20 week visit, and it was 300$.

There is no way to push for another one. They will do it if they deem it medically necessary but you are already 35 wks and your baby will be here before you know it and you will know what the sex is. Having another ultrasound would be 100% that you could figure out the sex. Insurance won't cover unnecessary ultrasounds and good Dr's won't give them. Just wait it out. I know it is hard but time will go by fast.

Offer to pay for it out of your pocket. They ususally cost anywhere between $120 and $200. They can only do ultrasounds that your insurance will pay for.

Well, unfortunately for you, wanting to know the baby's sex isn't a medical necessity. So unless you develop some complications, you're unlikely to get another ultrasound.

I guess that's not strictly true: you could pay for it yourself. (No one cares if you waste medical resources if you pay for them yourself.)

But one cautionary note: this late in your pregnancy, your baby has pretty well outgrown the available space. He or she is really squished, and you're not likely to get the definitive peek at the genitalia that you're hoping for.

I hate to say but a little white lie of you haven't been feeling the baby moving around as much as normal may be enough to get your doctor to give you another scan. Or you can fork out the money for a 4-d scan which is $100 to $150

You would have to pay out of pocket. Apparently your insurance won't cover more (most don't) so unless you tell your doctor you are willing to pay, it isn't going to happen. So sorry!
