I was taken to the tune of $526.00 on a sewing machine,I was glad I paid with a CC. My CC went to bat for me, but went through so much hastle and lots of hours of back tracking, phone calls, photo copying numerous documents and photos of what I received and on and on, but I did get credited back after nearly 3 months!

Normally I have no problems on ebay, but be cautious of some deceit out there.

As far as buying on ebay, you can get some good deals, just use your head, I would opt for insurance on items of great value and has a $2,000. credit protection rating.

As far as selling on ebay, people are usually looking for bargains so don't expect that they will pay a mint unless it is a really good item that is in demand. But if it were just sitting on your shelf, it might be worth whatever you get out of it but it is your time in listing, packing and shipping. Any higher priced items you sell, you might want to put a reserve on it.

Question about Ebay?

i buy everything off ebay. i sell a lot on there too. very few bad experiences since i started selling in 2001. i have never not received something and i must have bought over a thousand things. got something damaged before and the seller promptly issued a refund. this is why its important to check the feedback before buying and you will lessen your chances of having a bad exerience. my only negative comment about ebay is thier stupid exorbatant fees they charge to sell.

Ebay is alright. I'm not sure if you're always getting the best price, especially if it's a bid and you end up paying hundreds more than the bid was to start with. And the designer handbags can be fake. They can easily be knock offs.

You can't trust EBAY. I've known too many people including myself who have gotten ripped off and they say they can't do anything about it. People who sell demand you send payment. YET nothing is done to guarantee these jerks send the merchandise. it's a sham!

Love it, as a seller and a buyer. You get the odd non paying looser, but overall I'm happy.
