Nope. SS is only for the SPOUSE.

Common law marriages have been a thing of the past for a number of years, but you may want to check your area to se if the laws are still on the books. This is your only hope.

Otherwise, the SS will go to the kids.

If he dies and the kids are underage still, then they will receive it. But you can not receive benefits from social security, if you were not married to him, or common law. What ever you paid in your self, is what you will get when you are of age to receive benefits.

It is sad to say but you get nothing but if he were to marry someone else and die the next day she gets it all. If he does not get married then the kids can collect if they are underage.

No, you can't. You need to marry him first. If you divorce after 10 years, then you can still get part of his benefits.
