From me as a saints person i think they need a new defensive coach like Jim Johnson from the Eagles or Ryan from the Ravens, but better yet Jim Johnson from the Eagles since he uses different types of blitz packages that comes from any angle.

They need more talent on defense first.
A coach is only going to be able to put average players in a better positions to make a play.

Before the training camp the secondary was expected to be the biggest concern. Jason David was burned out but ironically he also scored the only touchdown.
They need also to use the offensive talent better. I liked the short passing game to the big guys like Colston and Eric Johnson, but they did not run the ball enough.
