pretty much. maybe we should just let all the war-chance- people go to war and kill of themselves, then maybe we can solve some real problems without creating a billion other ones.

"The normal condition of Mankind is war" -- Mark Twain, Letters from the Earth.
The species, yes. The normal condition of the U.S. has not been war.
Americans have normally attempted to avoid war. They have not been very successful at it. Starting with the Barbary Coast pirates, which the fledgling American government contributed nearly half it's GDP before finally deciding enough was enough, the U.S. has invariably tried diplomacy first.
When even the U.S. government has finally conceded that our diplomacy looked like weakness, we have gone to war, and (usually) demonstrated the lie to that notion.
The Taliban (and Osama) were of the opinion that the Americans could not fight, would not and could not reach into Afghanistan, and would not dare to face their fighters on the ground.
That notion went away after a few night-time visits by American Ranger battalions.
You don't hear such talk today. The ones who ran off into the hills were the survivors of the American incursion into Afghanistan.
In short, war has worked. Afghanistan is on its way to becoming a democracy once again, and the Americans are doing just fine, thank you.

Yes, and America was winning the wars and protecting freedom until the illiberals decided to give peace a chance which is when the genocide began and everything went downhill.
When the Islamofacists set off a nuclear bomb in a major American city, should we have a chat with the illiterate 7th century throwbacks, or should we blow their brains out?

Problem is we didn't start this war, and if we don't fight back the people that did will rub your face in the dirt and put chains on you.

What do you do when someone tries breaking and entering in your house? You just goin to let them waltz in, take what they want and leave? Or, are you going to fight to defend what's rightfully yours? ...
War is comparable. They came over to our land, terrorized us on our soil and we dealt with it by taking the fight there.

Well, perhaps you should lead the way and knock on a terrorist's tent and ask him if he's had his hug for today.
