I'm sure that someone will pick him up. Even if he's going to ride the bench, he's young and has game's under his belt. Someone like Atlanta could benefit from him.

Leftwich has talke to a number of teams. He's going to sign with the Ravens as the backup QB in a few days.

I am not surprised he was let go, but I think it was the best thing for the Jags, as for Leftwich he will find a home again but I don't think he will be a starter, I am a Jag fan and I am very happy with the decision to let him go and I think it will be good for both sides in the long run!

Right now Leftwich just sits around waiting for that phone to ring.Somebody desperate enough for a sub par back up QB will be calling soon. When a rookie started goes down he'll be called.I dont see it happening any time soon

It was a horrible move and a crappy thing to do to a guy.

From the Jags standpoint they are putting a poor quarterback on the field who single-handedly cost them the playoffs by giving Tennessee 18 points and fumbling the game away against New England.

I think it was pretty vindictive on Del Rio's part to wait until the week before the opener to cut him when all of the teams were set.

Jags finally realized that Leftwich is not an NFL caliber starting QB. Of course neither is Garrard, but I think he works for a lot less.

I'm guessing someone will pick up during the season if a quaterback gets injured.

Atlanta or Houston. I think he is better than Vick.
